THERAPEUTIC BODYWORK

Sessions are an integration of soft tissue techniques including, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, massage, craniosacral work, and passive and active movement modalities.

These sessions are beneficial for;

  • pain & stress relief

  • increased range of motion

  • deep relaxation

  • correcting long-held postural patterns

  • stimulating & boosting the immune system

VISIONARY CRANIOSACRAL WORK®

Developed by Hugh Milne, D.O., Visionary Craniosacral Work® encompasses all ways of working with the craniosacral system, including biodynamic, energetic, mechanical and visionary. The craniosacral system includes the brain, the cerebrospinal fluid, the system of membranes inside the cranium, all 22 cranial bones, the spine and the sacrum. ‘Listening’ to this system can be extremely beneficial for both adults and babies to establish a slower pace in the nervous system where resolution and integration are possible. Craniosacral work can also be very effective for conditions such as headaches, whiplash injury, low back pain and temporomandibular joint dysfunction.

PRENATAL MASSAGE & SUPPORT

Prenatal sessions are always supported by the BodyCushion system, if appropriate. Deep relaxation, and stress relief, support all stages of pregnancy while focused neuromuscular, myofascial and lymphatic work can alleviate symptoms more common during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Jill also offers support in preparing for conception, exploring early imprinting with parents and recovery from challenging births.

Jill is certified in MotherMassage® and in Prenatal and Birth Therapy.

SOMATIC REPATTERNING

Our earliest experiences are stored in our bodies as implicit somatic memories that affect us as if the original experience was happening right now in present time.

These imprints can present as:

  • movements, gestures, postures

  • sensations

  • relational dynamics

  • sequencing patterns

  • physical symptoms

While sessions are experiential, most begin with specific exercises to orient to present time and current safety. We also work with intentions, relevant history, some sensory exploration and often hands-on craniosacral work.

The end result can be an experience of settling/slowing down and the ability for deeper connection in relationships. Differentiating past traumas from present experiences creates greater choice and often a shift away from compensatory patterns.

Other treatment techniques may include:

  • Visceral mobilization

  • Manual lymphatic drainage

  • Muscle energy technique

  • Raindrop Therapy*

  • Reflexology

Jill has been using Young Living Essential Oils in her bodywork practice since 1997. She offers traditional Raindrop Therapy consisting of 7 essential oils, 2 essential blends, and 2 massage oils.
